Further Help and Advice

You will need a good calorie counter there are many online,

My Fitness Pal is a popular choice (www.myfitnesspal.com) which is free,

My personal preference in Nutracheck (www.nutracheck.co.uk) it is UK based, however it is not free after the initial trial

Dr Michael Mosley has a good range of books which will help with the science

Try the fast 800 book it will explain in detail how the science works and is the best explaination I have found*.

And the recipe book to go with. The Fast 800 Recipe book by his wife Dr Claire Bailey

Also his blood sugar diet book has some great recipes too.

There are some brilliant websites to help with menu and recipe ideas

such as

https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/

https://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/

http://www.eatingwell.com/

https://www.countryliving.com/food-drinks/g4020/low-carb-recipes/

Search for under 400kcals, Low carb and even Keto recipes, just be sure to check the ingredients list

*Much of the research from this plan comes from the New 5:2 plan, much of which Michael Mosley and team are responsible for.
